What is the Paleo Diet?
Paleo man lived during the Stone Age (2.5 or 2.6 million years ago to around 10,000 BC). Throughout the course of human evolution, hunter gatherers had a similar dietary method - they consumed only those foods provided by and available in nature. They obtained their food from hunting animals and gathering diverse fruits, vegetables, plants, nuts, and seeds available for each of the seasons during the year.
Paleo people did not eat large quantities of:
- Preservatives
- Bread
- Rice
- Potatoes
- Lentils
- Dairy
- Processed sugar
